BIOGRAPHY: TREVOR MOORE

I believe people don't need more pressure. They need more understanding.
For years, I believed the answer was to work harder, push harder, and become more disciplined. Like many people, I carried invisible struggles that most couldn't see - anxiety, depression, chronic pain, burnout, and eventually discovering I was autistic later in life.
What changed everything wasn't becoming a different person. It was finally understanding myself.
Today, I help leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, teams, and individuals better understand how their brain and nervous system respond to stress so they can lead, live, and perform with greater confidence, clarity, and resilience.
Because resilience isn't about becoming someone else; It's about becoming more of who you already are.
Every keynote, workshop, and coaching conversation combines five things:
— Practical neuroscience
— Lived experience
— Storytelling
— Humour
— Practical tools you can actually use
I don't want people leaving inspired for an hour. I want them leaving with strategies they'll still be using months - and years - later.
There was a time when I needed someone who understood what I was experiencing. Someone who could explain why life felt harder than it seemed to for everyone else. Someone who could replace guilt with understanding.
That person didn't exist for me. So today, I try to be that person for others. Whether I'm speaking from a conference stage, coaching someone one-to-one, or simply sharing a conversation over coffee, my hope is always the same: That people leave feeling seen, understood, and better equipped for whatever comes next.

🔹 I AM PROUDLY LIVING LIFE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM
For most of my life, I knew I experienced the world differently...I didn't know why. Receiving an autism diagnosis later in life didn't change who I was. It helped explain who I'd always been. Today, I proudly speak about neurodiversity because understanding ourselves is often the beginning of self-compassion.
🔹 I BELIEVE LIVED EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Everything I teach has been tested long before it ever reached a stage. I've navigated burnout. Chronic pain. Anxiety. Depression. A mental health crisis. Recovery. The science matters. But so does living it.
🔹 THE MOUNTAINS ARE MY RESET
If you can't find me, there's a good chance I'm somewhere between Banff, Canmore, Invermere, or back where it all began, Vernon, British Columbia. The mountains remind me that even the biggest climbs happen one step at a time. That philosophy shapes both my work and my life.
🔹 I LOVE HELPING PEOPLE FEEL SEEN
Whether I'm speaking to 1,500 people from a stage or having coffee with one person, my goal is exactly the same: To help people feel seen. Heard. Understood. Because those moments have the power to change lives.
🔹 I STILL LOVE MAGIC & COMEDY
Long before I became a speaker or coach, I was a neurodivergent child who found peace in playing cards. As a kid who grew up in the era before fidget spinners, I would ease my anxiety by shuffling playing cards and eventually learning sleight-of-hand card magic. Magic and gave me confidence before I knew how to find it anywhere else. I went on to spend 20 years performing professionally as a stand-up comedy magician at conferences, galas, awards shows and corporate events from Vancouver to Halifax. Today, I still use humour, storytelling, and the occasional moment of wonder to remind people that learning doesn't have to be heavy to be meaningful.
I consider myself to be a fun guy, a family man, a coffee enthusiast, a horble spellr, and an above-average podcast guest - just sayin!
When I'm not speaking or coaching, you'll probably find me exploring a new trail, enjoying a great cup of coffee, spending time with family, sketching, playing solitaire, or dreaming up new ways to help people build healthier, more resilient lives.
To help people replace shame with understanding
Overwhelm with clarity
And reaction with intentional action
Because the people you care about deserve the best of you - not what's left of you....And so do you.
